VERO BEACH, FL.—Monday, July 8, 2019— Orchid Underwriters Agency, LLC (“Orchid Insurance”), a leading specialty underwriter of catastrophe exposed property insurance, recently received the “Award of Excellence” from the Insurance Marketing & Communications Association (IMCA) for their website redesign.
More than 80 awards were presented in 36 distinct categories during the Showcase Award ceremony at the Minneapolis Marriott City Center. Organizations from across the United States and Canada entered the competition this year, which recognizes outstanding marketing and communications products all while promoting higher standards of excellence within the insurance industry.
Judging criteria for each of the 2019 IMCA Showcase Awards’ 36 categories included background (why was the program or product created), target audience, objectives (what was the intended outcome/strategy and measurable success criteria) and results versus established metrics. More than 45 judges, including advertising, marketing, public relations and corporate communications executives from across North America, participated.
“Orchid is proud of our team’s success in the Showcase Awards,” said Tim DeRosa, Executive Vice President of Orchid Insurance. “A lot of behavioral research went into our interface redesign. The marketing team set out to enhance our user’s experience by giving our agent partners a streamlined process. We looked to see what information they needed the most and made it easily accessible, while also satisfying our business objectives. These customer centric improvements continue to make Orchid ‘The First Choice’ for our partners.”
